Portimonense beat Paços de Ferreira by 1-0, in a match for the 19th round of the First Football League, played this Monday, February 6th, in Portimão.

With both teams needing points, the first sign of danger was left by Paços.

At the 11th minute, Antunes crossed for Butzke who made a first shot saved by Nakamura. During the reload, the player from Pacense shot the bar.

The bid made Portimonense wake up. The Algarve even scored, at 17', but the move was invalidated by Rochez's offside, who responded to a header from Filipe Relvas.

Throughout the first half, the visiting team was always more dangerous.

Paços came close to scoring twice more: at 28', Gaitan hit the crossbar, after a Nigel Thomas cross and, at 38', the same Nigel Thomas crossed from the left, Nakamura shook and the ball hit Lucas who almost scored an own goal.

The second part started with good news for the Algarve. At 47', Maracás was expelled for accumulating yellow cards, after a tackle on Moufi.

A short time later, at 52', Portimonense scored, but, as in the first half, the move was annulled, this time because of Bryan Rochez's offside.

With one more field, the Algarve dominated the second half, but only at the end did this superiority materialize in a goal.

At 90+7', in one of the last moves of the match, Maurício, Portimonense's winter signing, shot at the edge of the area, the ball deflected off Rui Pires and only ended up in the back of the net.

The Algarve returned to winning ways six games later and now have 23 points (11th place).
