Secondary School Pinheiro e Rosa de Faro no classes due to strike

Protest brought together teachers and staff

The students of the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, in Faro, had no classes this Monday, January 30th, due to a strike by teachers and staff, who came together «for a quality school», according to the organizers of the protest.

Protesters gathered outside the school this morning and promise to organize "new strike periods", until "a solution is found".

The demands of teachers and staff relate to improving conditions «for all public school workers», «hiring and integrating teachers and staff into the staff», «integration of missing service time» and «disappearance of access quotas to the 5th and 7th step».
