Portimonense drew 0-0 with Santa Clara, in a game played this Friday, the 13th, at the Municipal de Portimão, in which the Azoreans played more than an hour with 10 players.

The Algarve were the owners of the ball, from the opening moments of the game, and in the 9th minute Wellinton forced Santa Clara goalkeeper Gabriel Batista to a tight defense.

In the 27th minute, and after almost 20 minutes without clear goalscoring opportunities, Pierre Sagna, saw the second yellow card and was expelled, leaving the Azoreans to play with ten.

Despite this, until the end of the first half, the only dangerous shot was actually Wellinton's, at the beginning of the match.

The Algarve team returned from the locker room with a more aggressive attitude and in the 52nd minute Wellinton created a lot of danger, with a cross shot, but Gabriel saved it for the post.

Portimonense continued to harass the opposing goal and at 66 minutes had another opportunity, but Diaby shot against an opposing defender, despite having conditions to do better.

The game continued to have only one direction, that of the Santa Clara goal, but Portimonense's goal persisted in not appearing, despite the opportunities created in the 89th (Wellinton) and 91st (Bryan Róchez) minutes.

Even at the end of the game, Gabriel Batista saved Santa Clara from defeat, with another great save, again from Wellinton's shot.

With this result, the Portimão team now has 20 points, the same as Boavista, Chaves and Rio Ave, in 8th place.
