A 73-year-old man was rescued this Monday afternoon after suffering an accidental fall while walking on a cliff between Telheiro beach and Ponta Ruiva beach, in Vila do Bispo.
Upon arrival at the scene, members of the Lagos Maritime Police found that the victim was conscious and had several wounds on his body.
As it is located in an area of difficult access, members of the large-angle team of the Vila do Bispo Volunteer Firefighters, who were also on site, rescued the victim to the top of the cliff, where he was assisted by INEM members.
The alert for the accident was given at around 13 pm by the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center and members of the Maritime Police of Lagos were immediately called to the scene.
The victim was later transported to the hospital.
