The exhibition has free admission.

The creative photography exhibition “Arte da Atraction”, by Vítor Martins, will open this Saturday, January 28, at the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in Querença.

This is an exhibition that, in addition to bringing together 10 panels, «puts humanity and nature in dialogue», says the Foundation, in a press release.

The inauguration of the exhibition is complemented by a gathering that will bring together the local, national and foreign community, and the general public.

According to photographer Vítor Martins, «the objective is to stimulate curiosity about the art of attraction, inviting the audience to observe and discuss the diversity of its manifestations in everyday life.»

Vítor Martins is Portuguese but lived 35 years in Los Angeles, in the United States. He has lived in Querença for two years.

A member of ALFA – Associação Livre Fotografos do Algarve, which sponsors the exhibition, explains: «in our daily lives we use various types of messages: sound, color, shape to raise our negotiating position, something as simple as being friendly to obtain friendship or union sexual. These mechanisms occur to ensure our survival, obtain food or for safety and comfort. We do not escape the need to attract. The strategies are endless and the results determine the success of an individual.»

According to the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, «the exhibition, which brings together photography, art and reflection on our way of positioning ourselves in relation to the other, in a broader observation plane, which is that of nature, constitutes a very “attractive” way way of listening to how foreigners residing in Querença look at this territory, creating, in the process of this reflection, some points of contact with the national local community».

«At a time when Querença is starting to regain its administrative autonomy, the idea of listening to its contributions to the development of Querença, within the municipality of Loulé, also “attracts us”, he adds.

The exhibition has free admission and will be open until March 31, from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm.
