The traditional Festival in Honor of São Luís, known as Festa das Chouriças, takes place on the 22nd of January in Querença.

With the slowdown of the pandemic, this emblematic event returns, two years later, to this village in the interior of the municipality of Loulé.

On the 22nd, Sunday, there will be an exhibition and sale of handicrafts, from 10 am to 00 pm, in Largo da Igreja, where you can also taste the roasted sausage.

At 14 pm, the mass is celebrated, presided over by Father Carlos Aquino, followed by a procession with an image of St. Louis, patron saint of animals.

In the afternoon, from 16 pm onwards, the traditional sausage auction takes place.

At 19 pm, a dance is scheduled at Casa do Povo de Querença, animated by Ruben Filipe.

For the day before, the 21st, a fado night is scheduled, with Isa Brito, André Catarino and Adriana Marques, at Casa do Povo de Querença, from 21 pm. Tickets cost 00 euros, including broth.
