A Casa da Serra – Interpretative Nucleus of Serra do Caldeirão, a new project that aims to enhance the territory and people of the interior of the Algarve, will be inaugurated tomorrow, Friday, January 6th, at 16 pm, in the village of Parises, in São Brás de Alportel.
Before the inauguration, at 16 pm, the 00th anniversary of the Centro de Convivio de Parises will be celebrated.
The interpretive nucleus that will be inaugurated is located in the «little old Venda da Joaquina d'Horta», which opens its door again «more than half a century later», according to the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel.
Interpreted visits, activities for families and walks are some of the benefits that Casa da Serra has to offer.
This is a project by the Câmara de São Brás de Alportel, «as part of the strategy of valuing the mountain territory and preserving the local identity and memory, structuring axes of the municipality’s tourist potential, implemented with the collaboration of the Museu do Traje and the community and the support of the European Union, integrated in the PADRE – Plan of Action for the Development of Endogenous Resources».
