Results of the “Internacionalizar + Algarve 2.0” projects presented in Loulé

There were about 50 participants

The closing session of the projects “Internacionalizar + Algarve 2.0 | Tourism and Internationalization + Algarve 2.0 | Agrifood, Sea and ICT” took place on the 13th of December, at the NERA premises, in Loulé. 

The opening of this session was attended by Vítor Neto, president of NERA, and João Fernandes, president of the Tourism Region of the Algarve.

The approximately 50 participants who attended this closing session in person learned about the results achieved with the execution of projects that benefited from co-financing from CRESC Algarve 2020 | Portugal 2020, with particular emphasis on the seven Reconnaissance Missions to the Algarve that took place throughout the year.

In this session, testimonies were also heard from representatives of six companies that participated in the activities of these projects, whose objective was to boost the internationalization of SMEs in the Algarve linked to the tourism, agri-food, sea and ICT sectors.

On the other hand, the Coordinator of the Body for Monitoring the Regional Dynamics of the Algarve Aquiles Marreiros had the opportunity to present in this session the funding opportunities for promoters and entities in the Algarve within the scope of the Regional Program Algarve 2030.

After a period of debate, the co-promoters of this initiative expressed their satisfaction with the results achieved, as well as their availability to continue the work carried out in support of the internationalization of companies in the Algarve.

Furthermore, some suggestions for actions to be carried out in the near future, potentially encompassing the support provided for in the Algarve 2030 Regional Programme, were shared.

The closure of this initiative was in charge of Vítor Neto, João Fernandes and Aquiles Marreiros.
