Vila do Bispo Council distinguished by its presence on the Internet

In this study, the websites of the 308 municipalities were analyzed according to four main criteria

The Câmara de Vila do Bispo was distinguished, in the Internet Presence Index of Municipal Councils (IPIC), with the 1st place in the ranking that rewards the availability of contents and their updating on the institutional website of the municipality.

The results of this assessment, which is based on a joint study between the University of Minho, the Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA) and the United Nations University – Electronic Governance Operational Unit (UNU-EGOV), obtained from data referring to 2021 , were known last Tuesday, December 20, in a public session that took place at the University of Minho, in Braga.

In this study, the websites of the 308 municipalities were analyzed according to four main criteria: content – ​​type and updating, accessibility, navigability and ease of use, online services and participation.

In the evaluation of the content: type and update criterion, where Vila do Bispo was classified in 1st place, six indicators were taken into account: information from the municipality; municipality information; municipality management information; information on municipal services; territorial management instruments; dates of holding of Board meetings; and other information, which made it possible to evaluate the contents made available as well as their updating.

This was the 11th edition of IPIC, which was created by (GÁVEA) – Observatório da Sociedade da Informação, linked to the School of Engineering of the University of Minho and aims to analyze the online presence of national municipalities.
