The Municipal Assembly of Tavira approved a vote of praise, two votes of congratulation and a motion related to safety on the EN125, at its meeting on Monday, the 19th.
The vote of praise will be attributed to the musician Pedro Pires from Tavira «for his brilliant career and dedication to the art of music», which resulted in distinctions in the most varied national and international competitions.
Congratulatory votes were attributed to Ginásio Clube de Tavira – Boxe «for the exemplary, innovative and meritorious work carried out by the technical team led by António Iria Santos and by the Ginásio managers» and to Associação Kombate Fácil «for the exemplary work carried out by the technical team and by the directors of the Kombat Fácil Association in the development and consolidation of combat sports and Karate, translated into «the results obtained in the JSKA European Karate Championship and in the Portuguese Kickboxing and Muay Thai Cup».
The motion “National Road 125 – Crossing safely” was also approved, in which the AM de Tavira expresses «its concern for the safety conditions at the crossings of the EN 125 in the urban perimeter of the City of Tavira» and calls on the Government to carry out « small road investments in pedestrian and cycle crossing areas from the Marlin, Nova Tavira, Perogil, Pegada, Quinta da Barra, Miraflores and Tavira Garden urbanizations and the Santa Margarida and Santo Estêvão roads, thus helping to improve conditions of user safety'.
