From January 2023, Olhão pharmacies will have the service available again after 21:00.
The pharmacy on an availability shift must ensure that a pharmacist or a qualified assistant is available to serve the public that requests it, in case of emergency.
This measure was announced at the end of a meeting that took place this Wednesday, November 9, between the Municipality of Olhão, the municipality's pharmacies and the National Association of Pharmacies.
At the end of the meeting, Ricardo Calé, councilor responsible for Health, expressed his satisfaction with the return of this service: «an important achievement for access to health in the municipality, the result of a joint effort by pharmacies, the Association and the Municipality ».
Thus, as of January, it will be possible for people from Olhão to purchase medicines from 21 pm in Olhão, simply by going to the pharmacy that is available that night.
