The State of Aquaculture in Portugal will be debated at FNAC Faro, at Fórum Algarve, which will host on the 16th of November, at 18:30, a session on the theme “Constraints of the State of Aquaculture”.

The session will have as a guest Pedro Pousão, director of the Collaborative Laboratory on Sustainable and Intelligent Aquaculture (S2AQUA), biologist at the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere and specialist in aquaculture, who will talk about the constraints that affect the development and growth of the sector.

S2AQUA is a collaborative laboratory located in Olhão dedicated to Aquaculture, which, through innovation and technology, defends a sustainable and intelligent aquaculture by providing services and knowledge for greater food security and diversification of products from aquaculture.

The conversation cycle is free to access and will explain what aquaculture is and why we should consume aquaculture fish.

During the sessions, the public will also be invited to actively intervene and, at the end, they will be able to taste small appetizers prepared with fish from Aquaculture.

The snacks will be prepared by the students of the Cooking and Pastry Course at Escola Secundária Pinheiro e Rosa, in Faro, in conjunction with chefs André Rodrigues and Luís Jesus.

FNAC and S2AQUA invite all interested parties to attend this session dedicated to Aquaculture, with the aim of increasing literacy in this area and making known the process of fish growth.
