Campo Scout de Tavira challenged young people to be astronauts

This activity was intended for all scouts of the IV section, which includes young people from 18 to 22 years old and leaders

The Campo Escutista de Tavira (CET) hosted, last weekend, the 4th to the 6th of November, the second edition of servYcet, an activity in which each participant was challenged to be an astronaut. 

This activity was aimed at all scouts of the IVth section, which includes young people from 18 to 22 years old and leaders.

With the participation of hikers and leaders of the 98 - Faro, 100 – Tavira, 173 – Lagos, 413 – Ferragudo, 598 – Armação de Pêra, 714 – Albufeira, 1174 – Boliqueime, 1200 – Quelfes, 1201 – Conceição de Faro, 1339 – São Bartolomeu de Messines and also from the 41st company of Guias de Tavira, there were XNUMX participants.

Each crew (name of each group) «was challenged to live the imagery of the activity, being assigned constellations that they had to reach over the weekend and discover what was there», says the Campo Escutista de Tavira.

During the day of Saturday, the various “crews” «were divided into services to Campo Escutista de Tavira, namely the construction of the main council fire arena, the construction of the secondary council fire arena, the sealing of the lake and the construction of of a woodshed, thus making the CET a more welcoming, safe and attractive scout camp for all scouts».

«Sunday was marked by an intergenerational moment, where the Lado a Lado Association of the city of Tavira was challenged to bring its users, seniors of various ages, to spend a morning at Campo Escutista de Tavira with our scouts», adds.

All the participants were divided into the various tasks of preparing this socializing, such as making lunch and desserts, preparing decorations for the camp and creating animations and souvenirs for the seniors.

Currently, Campo Escutista de Tavira has already recovered an area of ​​six hectares that would have been the shipyards of the section of the A22 between Vila Real de Santo António and Tavira, abandoned 30 years ago, in the middle of a protected area.
