«The best sweet potato in the world» will be celebrated, from the 25th to the 27th of November, in another festival at Espaço Multiusos in Aljezur.
The event, with a lot of entertainment, gastronomy and more than 90 exhibitors, also aims to «honor all those who are dedicated to this agricultural activity as well as the agri-food sector linked to it, as a way of encouraging and recognizing their work and the sustainability of the territory» , says the Chamber of Aljezur.
The activities will take place in the Aljezur Multipurpose Space, where you can find taverns and spaces to promote gastronomy, with typical recipes and new culinary proposals, always with the sweet potato of Aljezur as the main actor in this spectacle of local gastronomy.
The sweet shops of Aljezur will bring to this festival the exquisite temptations of local sweets, with cakes, pastries, pies and other ways to satisfy the appetites of the sweetest.
Musical entertainment will also be a constant, with performances that will last until 2:00 am in this edition (closing time of the event on the 25th and 26th), with renowned artists from the national scene.
The names will be announced in the coming days.
The event will also feature a kitchen space, where dishes will be prepared with Sweet Potatoes from Aljezur as a mandatory ingredient.
Entrance and parking are free.
The Aljezur Sweet Potato Festival will run from 12:00 to 2:00 on Friday and Saturday, and from 12:00 to 22:00 on Sunday.
