Saúl de Jesus re-elected coordinator of the National Psychology Forum

For Saúl de Jesus, this re-election “means the trust and recognition of the work developed by the Forum for almost three years”

Saúl de Jesus, full professor of Psychology at the University of Algarve (UAlg), was unanimously re-elected, on October 12, as coordinator of the National Psychology Forum.

The election, which took place in person at the headquarters of the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP), was attended by the board of this body and the 31 Higher Education Institutions (IES) with graduate or postgraduate training in the field of Psychology.

For Saúl de Jesus, this re-election "means the trust and recognition of the work developed by the Forum for almost three years, being an incentive to continue to work more and better, in a perspective of cooperation between the HEIs and between them and the OPP , for the benefit of Psychology students and Psychologists and, therefore, of the society in which we live».

At this meeting, which was attended by the Chairman and Vice-President of the OPP, several initiatives were presented aimed at Psychology students at HEIs, as well as the system of accreditation of training actions by the OPP, seeking to increasingly involve HEIs in these initiatives and procedures.
