The promotional film “A Voz do Mar” from the municipality of Vila do Bispo, which features the participation of bodyboarder Joana Schenker, won 2nd prize in the “Memorable Experiences” category of the national competition at ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival.
At the awards ceremony, which took place last Friday, October 28, in Ourém, Rute Silva, mayor, and the Slideshow team, the film's production company, were present.
“A Voz do Mar”, launched in August of last year, intends to show Vila do Bispo as a territory «differentiated by its tranquility, by those who live it and by those who visit it, by the scenery of the landscape of unparalleled beauty that results from sensory manifestations that awaken all the senses", explains the municipality.
The ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival is organized by the Centro de Portugal Film Commission and is part of the CIFFT – International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals, which annually elects the best tourism film worldwide, among all the films that tour the international circuit of 14 festivals.
This year's edition, which took place from October 25th to 28th, included the exhibition of 84 films, integrated in 13 thematic sessions, which were selected among the 281 promotional films and documentaries, from 32 countries, that registered in the competition and that were judged by an international jury made up of 35 film experts from 19 countries.
During the event, round tables, an interview and a masterclass were also held, where invited experts reflected on current themes addressed in the films shown.
The municipality of Vila do Bispo thanks “the collaboration of all those who made this film possible”.
