The secular Feira de Todos os Santos takes place again in Silves between the 28th of October and the 1st of November, at Sítio do Encalhe (car park located north of the Castle), in Silves.

At this event, which attracts people «from all parts of the county and from other Algarve counties», it is possible to find a wide variety of products «from clothing and footwear, to toys, handicrafts, leather goods and hardware, parts and household items for all the ends, wood, brass, basketry, various machinery, without forgetting the traditional stalls of plenty, chestnuts and octopus, and, as expected, the amusements», according to the Municipality of Silves.

The Feira de Todos os Santos de Silves «is one of the oldest and most traditional fairs in the Algarve. It was created at the end of the 1491th century (November 1492), when King João II granted Silves his “Letter of Fair”, which started in 530 (therefore, XNUMX years ago)» .

«Over time, the event has already taken place in several different places, being a tradition rooted in Silves' memories and which allows contact with various traditional and local products», concludes the municipality.
