The Lagoa Swimming School was certified for the first time by the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN) with the maximum certification, that of Excellence.
On the 8th and 9th of October, in Vila Nova de Famalicão, the 2021rd Portugal Swimming Convention, with the theme “From Schools of Aquatic Activities to Competition”, having distinguished and certified the best swimming schools in the country, regarding to the work developed during the 2022/XNUMX season.
The certification given to the Lagoa swimming school recognized the path carried out over the last four years, in which the didactic pedagogical and management processes of the swimming school were developed and improved.
«It is with great satisfaction that we receive this distinction, which reinforces the quality of the work that is carried out by the municipality's employees, in the most diverse areas. I want to congratulate all those who contribute with the best they have to give, so that Lagoa is increasingly a better place to live”, said Luís Encarnação, mayor.
In a note, the municipality emphasizes that, in recent years, there has been an exponential increase in athletes.
«This award now achieved is the result of the effort of the current employees assigned to the municipal swimming pool and of all those who have spent there over the last few years», he also says.
