VRSA Chamber welcomes Real Madrid Foundation leaders

The VRSA Socio-Sports School of the Real Madrid Foundation was founded in 2011 through a protocol established with the VRSA City Council

Álvaro Araújo, mayor of Vila Real de Santo António, received Rosa Roncal, director of the International Area of ​​the Real Madrid Foundation, and Elena Fernández, responsible for the European Area, expressing the executive's support to continue the project of the Socio-sports School of the Real Madrid Foundation in VRSA.

The initiative was accompanied by Álvaro Leal, councilor responsible for Sports and Youth, and Mário Rolla, head of the Sports and Youth Division, culminating in a visit to the school's training ground, where all those responsible were able to attend a training session. students and prove the good results of the project.

During the meeting, representatives of the City Council highlighted their confidence in the socio-sports model of the school and expressed their intention to develop new socio-educational activities, in order to complement the training of students.

This, which was Real Madrid's first national school, encompasses football and basketball and the methodologies used aim to reward merit, taking into account factors such as school grades, behavior and student attendance.

With the objective of integrating young people at risk, with learning difficulties or who are inserted in environments where it is not possible to practice sports, «the school has developed an educational program in partnership with groups and municipalities, recording excellent results already proven on the ground by the Madrid emblem», says the VRSA Chamber.
