Camané back to Lagoa next month

With the show “Horas Vazias”

Camané is back in Lagoa and the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium with the show “Horas Vazias”, on the 5th of November, at 19:00.

The album was released on October 29, seven years after Infinito Presente.

Horas Vazias are 16 new songs, between classics, unreleased and traditional fados, where Camané makes his own the “Aves Agoirentas” that Amália recorded on the “Busto” album, but also the “Marcha de Alcântara” created by Vitorino in 1988. , the album reinvents Fado Rosa with a poem by Sebastião Cerqueira (“Às Vezes Há um Silêncio”) or places Pessoa’s “As Ilhas Afortunadas” in Fado Menor/Maior (dedicated to José Pracana). And he creates originals by Sérgio Godinho (“O Fado que em Tempos te Cantei”), Jorge Palma (“Transfigured Night”), Pedro Abrunhosa (“What a Flower Opens in the Chest”), Amélia Muge (“If Solitude Were”) or Carminho (“Nova Vénus”, based on a poem by Júlio Dinis).

Horas Vazias was recorded with José Manuel Neto (Portuguese guitar), Carlos Manuel Proença (Fado guitar) and Carlos Bica (double bass). But, for the first time, without José Mário Branco at the helm.

It was up to Pedro Moreira, a jazz veteran, to produce and arrange Horas Vazias, keeping intact the coordinates of what makes Camané who it is: Fado.

Tickets cost 10 euros (with a 20% discount for those with a cultural passport, Lagoa Social card or Rota do Petisco Passport, available at the ticket offices in the Municipality of Lagoa).
