The Municipal Library of Lagos will celebrate its 31st anniversary, between the 1st and the 12th of November, with “Magic Words” and many activities for schools and the general public in this new edition of the initiative.

The “Magic Words” kick off on the 1st of November with the presence of the Argentine Roberto White in the show “Criaturas Particulares”, an absolute premiere in Portugal that involves the clown language, the puppets and the theater of objects.

In the following days, the Cape Verdean Adriano Reis (Nhá identidádi – Stórias de Lá!), the Mozambican Klemente Tsamba (Karingana and batucada de tales and Balele-balele: Workshop on African Games and Toys), Estefânia Surreira will also visit the Municipal Library. and Vítor Fernandes (Dois dos Montes: João Soldado and other traditional Portuguese tales), Luzia do Rosário (Stories that are a treat), the Taleguinho Catarina Moura and Luís Pedro Madeira (Sewing songs and stories), the Argentine Rodolfo Castro (Stories behaved), Estefânia Surreira (Mocho ate!), Luís Correia Carmelo (Parlendário) and the Brazilians Cláudia Fonseca and João Paulo Oliveira (Erotic Tales).

The initiative ends on the 12th of November with “Encuentros”, another premiere in Portugal, this time with the Peruvian Bruno Tarnecci, who will
enchant participants with the true essence of the magic of words.

During the event, school groups from Lagos will also join the party, with dozens of sessions aimed at various cycles as a way of awakening a passion for reading and stories among Lacobrigensian children and young people.
