NERA promoted meetings between Algarve businessmen and commercial agents from five countries

Under the Prototyping Export project

Five international commercial agents, linked to the agri-food sector, from Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic, participated in two Inverse Missions to the Algarve, which included 40 Business to Business (B2B) meetings with Algarve companies, on the 12th and 15th of September.

The initiatives were organized by NERA – Associação Empresarial da Região do Algarve and carried out within the scope of the Prototyping Export project.

«During the first Inverse Mission, it was possible to promote, at NERA facilities, B2B meetings between three international commercial agents and companies from the Algarve, linked to the agri-food sector, which are participating in this project», according to NERA.

«In the second Inverse Mission, in which B2B meetings were also held with companies in the region linked to the agri-food sector, two international commercial agents participated. Altogether, in the Algarve region alone, it was possible to hold about 40 B2B meetings, within the scope of these two inverse missions», added the Algarve business association.

These initiatives allowed companies in the Algarve to “make known their products, as well as the conditions for their commercialization”.

«On the other hand, the companies in the region involved in this Project had the opportunity to discover new markets for their products, get in touch with new market needs and, through the established contacts, identify opportunities for improvement in their export/internationalization processes», they add.

In the aforementioned B2B meetings, the five visitors “had the opportunity to taste the agri-food products of the companies in the region present in the Digital Catalogue, developed within the scope of this Prototyping Export Project, and the possibility of getting to know the history and dynamics of each of these companies”.

These initiatives were organized by the Portuguese co-promoters involved in the Prototyping Export Project, ie NERA, Tertúlia Algarvia, NERE and ADRAL.

The Prototyping Export Project aims to support companies in the wider regions (Alentejo, Algarve and Andalusia) in their internationalization process, being an initiative co-financed by the European Union, within the scope of the Interreg VA Spain-Portugal Cross-border Cooperation Program ( POCTEP) 2014-2020.
