Júlio Resende and the Uruguayan Jorge Drexler will give a concert on the 11th of August, starting at 21:30, in Largo da Sé, in Faro.
The show “Musical Dialogues” comes from an invitation that Júlio Resende addressed to Jorge Drexler.
This concert «will be an unrepeatable moment of generous sharing and a fraternal meeting between two extraordinary musicians, in which the piano of Júlio Resende and the voice and guitar of Jorge Drexler dialogue in perfect harmony in a journey that will pass through songs written by each one of them and which will also include other songs from the World», says Teatro das Figuras.
Born in Olhão, Júlio Resende's latest album is called “Fado Jazz” and has received the most rave reviews.
Jorge Drexler is a Uruguayan composer and singer with a long professional career linked to music and the arts. During his career he recorded thirteen albums and gave concerts all over the world. His work has been awarded with an Oscar (2005), five Latin Grammys (2014, 2018), a Goya (2011) and a Silver Biznaga, among other recognitions.
Tickets cost 20 euros or 30 euros (double ticket).
