Medieval days start with crowded streets and lots of people dressed up [Fotogaleria]

Castro Marim is partying until Sunday

“I had never seen so many people on the first day!” commented one of the security guards on duty in the Medieval Days, which began yesterday and run until Sunday, in the historic centre, in the fortress and castle of Castro Marim.

The village streets were (still) more crowded than usual and there was no stall or establishment selling food and drink that didn't have a long line in front of it.

As always, the approach to a historic time – one of the characteristics that the Chamber of Castro Marim, promoter of the event, is most proud of – was taken seriously, even by many visitors, as can be seen in the photo gallery.
