The beach of Armona-Mar, in the municipality of Olhão, was prohibited for bathing yesterday afternoon, the 26th, «after the analysis of the water quality revealed microbiological values ​​above the reference parameters, and the water was unsuitable for bathing. ».

After receiving this information from the Regional Health Delegate of the Algarve, prohibiting the practice of bathing on the beach of Armona-Mar, instructions were given for the red flag to be hoisted, and the Municipality of Olhão proceeded to place notices at the beach access.

This ban will remain in place until “the results of a water quality analysis indicate that the microbiological values ​​are within the reference parameters”, concluded the National Maritime Authority.
