House prices in the Algarve rose 3,9% in the second quarter

Prices fell only in Portimão (-0,2%), in Faro the rise was 4,3%

House prices in the Algarve rose by 3,9% in the second quarter of the year, reveals the idealista price index.

According to the company, at the end of June, buying a house had a cost of 2.789 euros per square meter (euros/m2), taking into account the median value. In relation to the monthly and annual variation, prices rose 1,6% and 15,2%, respectively.

Prices in the region increased in all municipalities, with the exception of Portimão, which fell by 0,2%.

In the opposite direction, prices rose in Vila Real de Santo António (15,5%), Vila do Bispo (10,6%), Olhão (6,8%), Aljezur (6,6%), Tavira (6% ), Loulé (5,8%), Lagoa (5,7%), Lagos (5,3%), Albufeira (5,1%), São Brás de Alportel (4,5%), Faro (4,3%), Silves (3,4%) and Monchique (0,6%).

The most expensive municipality to buy a house is Loulé (3.369 euros/m2), followed by Lagos (3.220 euros/m2) and Lagoa (3.119 euros/m2). On the other hand, the cheapest are Alcoutim (875 euros/m2), Monchique (2.073 euros/m2) and São Brás de Alportel (2.185 euros/m2).

Nationally, housing rose by 1,3% during the same period, with house prices rising in the first quarter in 13 district capitals: with Ponta Delgada (15,1%) and Setúbal (8,1% ) topping the list.

On the other hand, prices fell in Guarda (-10,2%), Castelo Branco (-4,2%), Lisbon (-2,5%), Portalegre (-1,9%), Coimbra (-1,5, 1,2%), Vila Real (-0,3%) and Beja (-XNUMX%).

Lisbon continues to be the city where it is most expensive to buy a house: 5.000 euros/m2. Porto (3.063 euros/m2) and Funchal (2.385 euros/m2) occupy the second and third places, respectively, followed by Faro (2.313 euros/m2).
