Folha de Medronho premieres “Adagio para Três Irmãs”, next Sunday

At the Solar da Música Nova Auditorium, in Loulé

The theater play “Adágio para Três Irmãs”, based on the play “Three Brothers”, by Chekhov, finally premieres next Sunday, June 26, after the first scheduled date (May 15) has been postponed. 

The play, performed by the Folha de Medronho association, takes place in the Auditorium of Solar da Música Nova, in Loulé, at 17:00 pm, and lasts for 60 minutes.

“Adágio Para Três Irmãs”, an adaptation by Manuel Sanches and João de Mello Alvim of the original by Chekhov, focuses on the three sisters – Olga, Masha and Irina.

«Displaced in a province in the interior of Russia, they go about their daily lives astonished between the memories of a happy past in Moscow and the dreams of a promising future in which they will be able to return to Moscow, where “God willing, everything it will be arranged”, reads the synopsis.
