The roof terrace of Fábrica da Cerveja, in Faro, receives this Friday, June 24th, an exhibition of artistic works resulting from artistic residencies carried out by artists from various parts of Europe, integrated in the ECRN project – European Creative Rooftop Network.
The ECRN project is co-funded by the European Union's Creative Europe program and brings together nine partners from eight European countries.
Over the past few weeks, artists Kevin Trappeniers (from Antwerp, Belgium) and Peter Piek (from Chemnitz, Germany) have been Faro in artistic residency creating artistic pieces to present to the public in the Algarve and in their cities of origin.
At the same time, artist Rachel Ramirez, from Faro, was in the city of Chemnitz, Germany, where he presented the result of his artistic residency to the local public and, on the 24th, he will present his work in the Algarve capital.
Another artist from Faro, Carolina Cantinho, will also do an artist residency in Antwerp (Belgium). In addition to these, around two dozen artists are touring Europe and developing community-based works.
On the 24th, from 10:00 to 01:00, at Fábrica da Cerveja, it will also be possible to participate in various activities, such as workshops on solar ovens and full figs (from 15:00 to 17:00), yoga class (18:30) and a microphone open to gather ideas about the future of terraces in Europe. From 20 pm, there will be concerts at sunset with the Escola de Música do Sul of the Associação Recreativa e Cultura de Músicos (ARCM) and also with Sara Badalo & Alexandre Dhamen. One of the participants in the artist residency, Peter Piek, will also perform live.
At the end of the night, there will be a DJ to liven up the roof terrace of Fábrica da Cerveja.
