Maritime Police seize 102 kilos of fish for illegal sale in Quarteira

This action was carried out in collaboration with the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE)

102 kilos of fish, which were being sold illegally in the fishing port of Quarteira, were seized this Friday, May 6, by the Maritime Police. 

This action was carried out in collaboration with the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE).

In total, three traders were detected and inspected in full commercial activity of selling fish, having been fined for “non-compliance with health rules”.

Of the 102 kilos seized, 51 were donated to a social solidarity institution. The remainder "was destroyed because it did not present the necessary safety conditions for consumption, as indicated by the ASAE elements present on site".
