Olhão: Students from the Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes walked the Camino de Santiago

Activity took place during a mobility of students, in Spain

Students from the Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes, from Olhão, covered more than 122 kilometers of the Camino de Santiago, for five days, between Sarria and Santiago de Compostela.

This activity took place during another student mobility, under the Erasmus+ Project “Campus Stellae for Europe – CS4E”, which took place in Spain between 25 April and 5 May. the AEFFL was present in yet another mobility of students that took place in Spain from the 25th of April to the 5th of May.

According to the group of schools, «these were days marked by an enormous physical and psychological effort that culminated in an exciting arrival at the Cathedral of Santiago, a reflection of the dedication and spirit of camaraderie of the entire group».

In addition to the walk, students participated in several thematic workshops, together with students from Spain (Madrid), Romania (Bacau) and Slovenia (Ljubljana).

Accompanied by teachers Idalécio Nicolau, Luís Palma and Óscar Ribeiro, the students, adds the group of schools, «had the opportunity to discover a little of the cities of Madrid, Valladolid and Santiago de Compostela, to make contact with other cultures and systems of teaching, getting to know the traditions and culture of partner countries, encouraging collaborative work and project work, developing skills in terms of the English language and Citizenship, among others».
