Joana Schenker, from the Algarve, finished in 5th place in the first stage of the Bodyboard World Tour, held this Saturday, May 14, in Chile.
The athlete ended up being eliminated in the quarter finals man-on-man, by Japanese Sari Ohara, current World Champion.
“I am satisfied with the start of the World Cup in Chile. I felt I was surfing well, unfortunately in the quarter finals, due to the very low tide I had trouble finding the wave that would give me access to the semi finals. Anyway, it's a good result for my aspirations for 2022. Now I'm going to Antofagasta to try to improve this result”, said Joana Schenker.
The second stage of the world circuit will also be held in Chile, this time in the Antofagasta area from the 19th to the 29th of May.
