The Municipal Market of Faro will now offer free parking, for two hours, to Farense fans who travel to São Luís Stadium.
This partnership, between the Municipal Market and Farense, starts this Sunday, May 8, at the reception of the Algarve in Varzim, from 14:00.
Interested fans who go to Estádio de São Luís and have their car previously parked at Parque do Mercado, will only have to present the parking ticket at the Stadium Ticket Office when purchasing the ticket for the game.
They will then be given a discount voucher for two hours in advance, to be used when paying for parking, at the machines in the Market.
With this initiative, which is limited to the number of available parking lots, «we seek to offer convenience to those who go to São Luís Stadium and, at the same time, affirm the Car Park of the Municipal Market of Faro as a central hub of mobility for the entire county», says the municipal company Ambifaro.
In the future, another initiative is planned: members with up-to-date membership fees will be able to have discounts on monthly parking subscriptions of up to 25%.
For Henrique Gomes, president of Ambifaro, this is an understanding that makes perfect sense, because «Farense and Mercado are two institutions that are close, not only in the geography of the city, but also in the history they share».
«By establishing this principle of understanding, we seek to meet the great mass of fans of the club and, at the same time, encourage more and more young people to make the Municipal Market of Faro their market and include it in their daily life habits», he adds.
In the opinion of João Rodrigues, president of Farense, «these are understandings that make perfect sense and are part of the opening of our club».
