The Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) created the Lídia Jorge Excellence Scholarship that will finance the 1st year of tuition fees for students with the best academic performance in the PhD in Clinical Research and Translational Medicine, at the University of Algarve (UAlg).
Through this annual grant, the objective is to «encourage and recognize the merit of the best students, thus contributing to a successful path, marked by the proximity of the academic and scientific ecosystem».
Students also have the possibility to apply for the João Larguito Scholarship, aimed at clinical research projects, as well as the Mariano Gago Scholarship, dedicated to translational research projects. These two grants together total support of 200 thousand euros for research.
