The Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen Municipal Library, in Loulé, hosts, this Saturday, April 30, at 21 pm, a colloquium concert with Filipa Pais and Octávio Fonseca in homage to Zeca Afonso.
Based on the book “Uma Vontade de Música – As Cantigas do Zeca” by Octávio Fonseca, this initiative will have the presence of the singer Filipa Pais who, accompanied by the viola, will interpret several songs by José Afonso, complementing the speech of the author of the book.
According to the Câmara de Loulé, «the book “Uma Vontade de Música – As Cantigas do Zeca” describes, through an in-depth and exhaustive research, the path of this unique name, since its beginning, as an interpreter and author of Fados de Coimbra, passing through the different phases in which he completely recreated and reinvented Portuguese popular music, whether through ballads, songs, or intervention songs».
This is an activity that is part of the celebrations of the 48th anniversary of the 25th of April in the municipality of Loulé. Entry is free.
