Loulé's GNR seizes 15 doses of drugs by scamming a network in the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo

Seven arrests were also made, culminating eight months of investigation.

The arrest took place after eight months of investigation by the GNR military into large-scale drug trafficking in those two southern regions.

“They all had very well-defined roles. There were individuals responsible only for transporting the product, others for preparing the doses and still a place, in the city of Quarteira, which served solely and exclusively to store narcotic products”, revealed Lieutenant Diogo Silvestre, deputy commander of the Territorial Detachment of Loulé, in statements to the Sul Informação.

“They sold to other smaller dealers, who, in turn, sold to the direct consumer. But, within this network, there were also individuals responsible for selling directly to the final consumer”, explained the lieutenant, noting that the investigation that led to the arrest of these seven people followed another.

“There were indications that this network was operating in the Algarve, we started to investigate and understand some movements. Then we did this whole eight-month investigation that culminated in yesterday's operation.”

The police operation, which included 13 house searches and six vehicle searches, led to the seizure of 6115 doses of cocaine, 9659 doses of hashish, 45,6 grams of MDMA, 70 doses of lime, 352,19 grams of drug cutting product. , 39 euros in cash, several pills, five vehicles, a safe, two cameras, two lenses, a monitor, an LCD television, a sound system, 026 cell phones, eight vials of steroids and two precision scales. The detainees now remain at the premises of the GNR until they are presented to the Judicial Court of Faro this Thursday, the 7th, for the application of coercive measures.
