Revista do Boa Esperança is back but will walk “With Corona on Heels”

The current news inspires the fun rabbles again

The premiere of the Portuguese-language magazine “Com a Corona aos Saltos”, which marks the return of Boa Esperança Atlético Clube Portimonense, after a two-year break, is scheduled to premiere on April 9, at 21:30 pm. It will be on stage in the collective's concert hall, in the center of Portimão, until the 29th of May.

The current news once again inspires amusing scribbles, with timely and accurate notes on the daily life of Portimão and its people, keeping alive a tradition that has been around for more than half a century, through good-humored criticism.

Originally a carnivalesque initiative, the Portuguese-style magazine of Boa Esperança has evolved and has already become a show with national projection. An example of this is this new challenge, full of humor and rhythm, where the spectator will follow the “Mimi Excursion” where everyone claims for the best place to see a Virus called “Maricon” on stage, which promises not to infect anyone.

A “Nightmare in the Roulotte” where the chef “Lubomir” always has a solution, whether with a syringe or malacueco, or a steak always at hand. “In a Paradise Garden” with dating and adventures, a tribute will be made, well deserved and fair, to a “Forgotten Statue”.

“And the Donkey Am I?” says the gypsy Almerindo singing. In “Condomínio Vale de Rego” there is more than a lot of disorder, with the fadinho accompanying it, to pay for the condominium is no way to think about it.

In a great apotheosis “Aqui Está Dona Revista”, which will be dressed with feathers, glitter and glitter, receiving applause from actors, technicians and dancers.

With original texts and lyrics by Carlos Pacheco, the show will be represented by the author himself, leading a cast composed of Telma Brazona, Flávio Vicente, Sandra Rodrigues, Soraia Correia, João Martins, Mariana Jobling, Catarina Duarte, Lara Guerreiro, Rita Ferreira and Vânia Lourenço.

The performances will take place on Fridays and Saturdays, from 21:30 pm, and on Sundays at 15:00 pm and 17:30 pm.

Located in the center of the city, Boa Esperança Atlético Clube Portimonense, through its new production, also aims to boost the artistic and cultural sector still in recovery and create a new breath for Portimonenses and visitors, who were prevented from attending cultural shows.

Furthermore, on May 6th, Boa Esperança Atlético celebrates its 93rd birthday. The culture and recreation collectivity was founded in Portimão, on May 4, 1929, and has promoted several initiatives that have marked the life of the city.

In recent years, the club has been energized by Carlos Pacheco, who has managed to take the name of Boa Esperança to a successful port and beyond, either with the traditional Portuguese-style magazine, or with the school of ballroom dancing, the school of fado , but also with other cultural or social solidarity initiatives.
