Workshop helps to discover the «clown in each of us» in VRSA

Initiative is promoted by Luciano Amarelo

Actor and director Luciano Amarelo, founder of Associação Terras de Ourondo – ATO – will promote, between the 11th and 16th of April, in the “Golden Age”, in Vila Real de Santo António, the workshop “Clown and your Delirium” .

In this initiative, «there will be space for discovering the clown that exists in each of us and the universes he represents. The talents of each participant will be developed through voice, body, costumes», advance the promoters

The workshop «intends to be a moment in which each of the participants only has to take with them the will and curiosity to play and exaggerate and at the same time discover themselves».

There will be a work for «the discovery of the clown himself» and its manifestation.

For Luciano Amarelo, «working with the clown technique is to reach a state of pure curiosity, joy and pleasure just like a child, but also to pierce the energy of the various clowns that can coexist in each of us: Tonto/Naif/Criança and Sério /Rich".

“We have to understand where we are and where all the clowns are in us”, he adds.

«This is not just an isolated activity, as it is intended to implement a training project in which students will be monitored, with a view to creating creative centers operating in different parts of the country. There is a concern with training actors and raising public awareness of culture», explains the organization of this workshop.

Based on the technique of Clown – the “Novo Palhaço” – «this workshop merges the circus and the performing arts for a joint development of moments of training, experimentation and artistic creations».

The objective is to «embrace the performing arts, circus, musical, cabaret, creating a new family and a new cabaret!», contextualizes Luciano Amarelo, who throughout the workshop will promote three moments: training, laboratory and cabaret.

This workshop will consist of 22 hours of training and will end with a presentation show.

The initiative is aimed at people over 16 years old and has a limit of 15 participants. Applications are available until April 7th.

The cost of the workshop is €95 for «EIPÁ!» Students (ATO Itinerant Clown School) and €115 for new students.
