Government renews alert situation until March 30

Current measures remain in force

The Council of Ministers today approved the resolution that extends the declaration of the alert situation, in the context of the Covid-19 disease pandemic, until 23:59 pm on March 30th.

The resolution, which enters into force on March 23, leaves the measures currently in force unchanged.

Among these measures that remain, emphasis is placed on the mandatory use of a mask on public transport, residential structures for the elderly, hospitals, concert halls and events and large supermarkets.

Masks are also still mandatory in classrooms.

The alert situation, the lowest level of response to disaster situations in the Civil Protection Basic Law, ended next Tuesday.
