students of Faro and Portimão participate in Regional Encounter of Environmental Volunteering for Água Jovem

The 6th Regional Encounter of Environmental Volunteering for Água Jovem will take place this Friday, March 25, in Alvor (Portimão).

The initiative is aimed at students in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of the Bemposta School Group and three classes of the 2nd cycle of the Pinheiro and Rosa School Group and the João de Deus School Group (Faro).

The activities will take place along the Alvor riverside area, in the Sports Complex and on the west Alvor beach. On a trip with several stops, and based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), students will be challenged to reflect on the “Common House” and “Doing your part”.

During the event, short sessions (20 min) will be promoted by the 11 partners of the event and by the Portuguese Environment Agency team, which will promote three "Stops", dealing with SDG 6 - Water for All, SDG 11 - Cities and Sustainable Communities and, finally, SDG 13 – Climate Change.
