This return is «a guarantee of the continuity of the sporting and ethical values that CVT has always defended»

Filipe José is the new coach of the senior men's handball team at Clube de Vela de Tavira (CVT), returning now, after having already guided the team and having been linked to the club for 37 years, after the departure of the previous coach Mário Miguel. .

The coach has already guided the team for three years, from 2018 to 2021, «a group that he knows so well», having achieved «more relevant» results such as «an increase in division (from the 3rd division to the 2nd National division) and the respective maintenance», says Clube de Vela de Tavira.

«A man trained at CVT, where he did all his training as a player, coming to represent the senior team in the First National Division, he also held the position of team captain for several years».

In his career he also has «many seasons ahead of the CVT training teams and both senior teams (Men and Women)».

Filipe José was linked for 37 years to the club to which he now returns, «with twenty of those seasons completed at the highest level of the CVT».

This return is «a guarantee of the continuity of the sporting and ethical values that Clube de Vela de Tavira has always defended».

At the controls of the team, Filipe José will count on «the collaboration of assistant coaches Luís Palmilha and Nuno Vicente, a working group with proven evidence in the past».

«The club will thus enter a new cycle that, we believe, will bring much joy to the members and friends of Clube de Vela de Tavira», he concludes.
