A young 25-year-old kitesurfer, who was struggling in the water, was rescued on the afternoon of this Wednesday, January 19, about 300 meters from Forte Novo beach, in Quarteira.
According to the National Maritime Authority, the young woman was "drift due to damage to the kite».
The alert was given at 15:30 pm and, upon arrival at the scene, the elements of the Lifeguard Station verified that the woman was physically well, showing some signs of fatigue, but without the need for medical assistance.
The young woman ended up being rescued to the beach of Forte Novo.
