Art exhibition aims to “Save Alagoas de Lagoa”

The initiative can be visited from the 2nd of February, at Convento do Carmo, in Lagoa

The “Salvar as Alagoas de Lagoa” Group will promote an art exhibition, in celebration of the World Wetlands Day, which will be inaugurated on February 2, at Convento do Carmo, in Lagoa.

Open until the 9th of February, the exhibition aims to «alert the vital importance of wetlands and the dangers we run in destroying them», in this case Alagoas Brancas, in Lagoa, «as well as the raising of funds for their defense and protection", says the group.

The opening of the exhibition will be attended by Manfred Temme, biologist and ornithologist, Luís Palma, current president of the Almargem Association, Domingos Leitão and Alexandra Lopes, from the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, and the architect Lucinda Caetano, from the Associação Almargem Participation City.
