Vítor Neto re-elected president of NERA

There was only one list to go to votes

Vítor Neto was re-elected last Thursday, December 16, for another three-year term as president of NERA – Business Association of the Algarve Region.

The businessman from Establishments Teófilo Fontainhas Neto – Comércio e Indústria, SA, who led the single list presented for suffrage, was re-elected for another term at the head of this association, which represents the business fabric of the Algarve region.

Marina Correia, representing the Marina de Portimão's Yacht Club, was elected as Chairman of the Board of the General Meeting, while Joel Pais, representing Solverde – Sociedade de Investimentos Turísticos da Costa Verde, SA was elected to chair the General Meeting.

“The corporate bodies now elected include new members, but they also have cases of continuity, a fact that guarantees, on the one hand, the continuation of the work developed and, on the other hand, provides the necessary innovation factor”, says NERA.

The swearing in of the newly elected took place right after the vote counting process.

According to NERA, «Vítor Neto assumed the commitment to continue working together with the other members of the governing bodies for the affirmation of the Algarve region, supporting entrepreneurs and their companies in a sustained manner in solving their problems».
