Portugal has already vaccinated more than two million people against the flu

Stepping up the pace of vaccination remains a priority

Portugal has already administered more than two million doses of the flu vaccine and more than 1,4 million booster doses of the vaccine against COVID-19, announced today the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

Yesterday, December 2, it was possible to administer more than 105.000 vaccines in the country, of which more than 40.720 vaccines against the flu (3.559 in
pharmacies) and about 64.400 booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

In its communiqué, the DGS said that "intensifying the pace of vaccination continues to be a priority for which the country's Vaccination Centers are committed to vaccinate people summoned through central and local scheduling, at their maximum capacity."

Vaccination centers are working so that the process is “fluid and quick, even with great affluence, calling for a better understanding of users regarding the
any occasional constraints that may occur», adds the DGS.

The Directorate-General for Health maintains the appeal for vaccination against the flu and against COVID-19 and for people's understanding. «This is the best way to protect the
most vulnerable, especially at this time of year, when temperatures are lower», concludes the DGS.
