Two men, aged 35 and 62, were arrested by the GNR in flagrante, this Friday, the 24th of December, for theft of avocados, in the parish of São Bartolomeu de Messines (Silves).
Following a complaint, "that two individuals were stealing avocados from a property", the Guardsmen moved to the site, "having found several bags, totaling 150 kilos".
One of the individuals was arrested and, "during the police investigations, it was even possible to find and detain the second suspect, who was hiding close to the place."
The stolen avocados were returned to the owner.
The detainees were constituted as defendants and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Silves.
