Moura Nautical Center moves towards its realization

Investment will be built in the existing Nautical Station and includes a river beach

The contract for the construction of the central platform for leisure and outdoor spaces in Alqueva, namely at Estação Náutica de Moura, was published this Tuesday in Diário da República. The work has a base value of 550 thousand euros.

The work is the responsibility of EDIA, but the contract also involves the Câmara de Moura, both partner entities in the scope of the construction process of the Nautical Center, located in the core of the Alqueva Dam.

This investment, which is now taking place next to the Nautical Station, will include a cafeteria, an area for small boats, a river beach, a floating swimming pool and a service area for motorhomes.

Álvaro Azedo, president of the municipality, points out that the Alqueva Development and Infrastructure Company, “from the very beginning, believed in this project for the municipality, region and country”.

The socialist mayor adds that the "Nautical Station of Moura goes on its way".

The publication of the contract for the other infrastructures is under preparation.

The Moura-Alqueva Nautical Station, coordinated by the Moorish City Council, has a partnership with public and private entities and privileges the participation in regional and national actions of the Portuguese Nautical Stations network and cooperation with local and regional actors in the design of products that symbolize nautical activity in the region.
