Albufeira welcomes jogging and walking in São Silvestre where Santa Claus and king cake are not lacking

on the 17st

It's a race, but it also includes a walk open to everyone and a giant king cake. The São Silvestre Race returns to Albufeira on December 17th, after not having taken place in 2020, and even Santa Claus will be present.

Both in the case of the race and the Santa Claus walk, both with 7 kilometers, the start takes place at 20:00, next to Albufeira Town Hall, where both initiatives end.

With regard to competition, it is aimed at athletes from all sporting spheres (federated, INATEL, school, military and popular), individual or collective, such as teams, groups, gyms, families, juniors, seniors and veterans (born in 1999 or in previous years).

Anyone who wants to participate in the walk can participate.

This event, organized by Clube Desportivo Areias de São João, in partnership with the Municipality of Albufeira and the technical support of the Algarve Athletics Association, will give monetary prizes and trophies to the fastest, in the competition aspect, but also gifts from participation and a giant king cake to distribute to everyone.

«This is a very fruitful moment in the social life of Albufeira, as it brings together many people excited by the good spirit of the court, in addition to sports lovers. Two years ago it was a great success and I have no doubt that this year, São Silvestre de Albufeira will have an even greater success», believes José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira.

Registration is free, but mandatory for both the competition and the walk, and must be done at the form available online until December 15th (Wednesday).

Interested parties can contact the organization through the email [email protected] or the number 927700645 (Felisberto Reigado).
