The book “Fundamentos de Acoustic Underwater”, by Orlando Rodriguez, will be presented this Friday, December 3, at 14 pm, at the University of Algarve Library (UAlg), on the Gambelas campus (Faro).
With a presentation by Rogério de Moraes Calazan (from the Institute of Sea Studies Almirante Paulo Moreira, Rio de Janeiro), the session can be followed in person or online through this link.
This is a book on underwater acoustics, in Portuguese, «with a structure more organic than logical, unifying different areas, and with original fragments of code in Python (free and open source language) complementing the discussion», says UAlg .
“A book written for beginners and specialists, for biologists, oceanographers, informatics, engineers, physicists and mathematicians, as well as for civil and marine personnel”, he concludes.
