Faro hosts the 2nd stage of the Algarve Light Sailing Championship

The competition will bring together around 150 athletes from 13 clubs in the Algarve

The 2nd stage of the Algarve Light Sailing Championship takes place this weekend, November 27th and 28th, in Faro. 

The competition will bring together around 150 athletes, from 13 clubs in the Algarve, in the waters of the Ria Formosa, next to the Farol, to fight for Regional Ranking points and podium places.

«Based on the favorable metrological forecasts, it will be an event filled with exciting regattas and organizational and sporting successes, both individually and collectively, for the clubs present in Faro», says Ricardo José, president of the Regional Association of Vela do Sul.

The organization is in charge of the Naval Club Gymnasium of Faro, with the support of the Regional Sailing Association of the South, of the Portuguese Sailing Federation, FAGAR, Municipality of Faro, Parish Union of Faro and APS – Administration of the Ports of Sines and Algarve.
