The second edition of Duatlo Crosse do Azinhal will bring together federated, national and foreign athletes, on the 28th of November, from 10:00 am, in this village in the municipality of Castro Marim.
The race, which challenges participants to a 6 km run, 20 km bike ride and another 3 km run, is part of the Algarve Championship.
The Duathlon Crosse do Azinhal is organized by Leões do Sul Futebol Club and the Municipality of Castro Marim, with the support of the Parish Council of Azinhal and the Sporting de VRSA Nucleus.
On the same day, the usual 10-kilometre walk takes place, an initiative of the municipality of Castro Marim «which was created as a way of boosting the monthly markets, which take place on the same days».
This year, the initiative was also integrated into the sports program of the Eurocity of Guadiana, an Interreg Spain-Portugal application. For the walk, registration is limited and mandatory, and must be made until 14 pm on the 00th of November, by contacting [email protected] or (+26) 351 281 510.
